The Flossing of Local SEO
You know you should floss for your gum health, but you probably don’t get around to it that often. The same goes for checking your Google Business Profile for pending updates.
You see… when random internet people or Google’s (seemingly random) algorithms think your Google Business Profile is incorrect or inaccurate, they can make changes to it without you knowing. Instead of sending you a proper notification, Google just shows a little message in the “Edit profile” area of your Google Business Profile. The message will ask you to either edit or acknowledge the specific changes that were made.
This week’s local marketing tip is to go to your Google Business Profile, click the Edit Profile button near the top left, slowly scroll down, and acknowledge or accept all changes Google suggests for your business. It only takes a minute, and unlike flossing, you only need to check this every month or two.
Hey! Random question for you... Do you have an AED in your business? If so, please find the email from Google about it and enroll so you can possibly save a life. You can find this email by searching for Google’s email address in your inbox: businessprofile-noreply@google.com
Lastly, if you haven’t checked out our new fully automated Google Business Profile optimization platform, Paige, that’s nuts!
