Aww, how cute. Google is helping the little guy!

Google is rolling out a new feature to help small businesses compete even better against their larger competitors on Google Maps. If you can add it to your Google Business Profile, you should take advantage of this opportunity ASAP.

Google is now letting certain businesses add the "Small Business" attribute to their profile, which will help them stand out during the holiday shopping period and likely beyond. Google is only allowing businesses that they deem "small" to add this label to their Google Business Profile and is using AI and web traffic data to determine who is small and who is not.

Here at Merchynt, our goal is to help the smallest of business owners kick butt with local marketing, so this is an excellent initiative by Google in our eyes. When you're done reading this entire email, go to https://business.google.com, click on your Google Business Profile, click Edit profile, then More (from the business), and see if you can turn on the "Small Business" attribute. If you do - do it! If you don't, sorry, Google thinks you're too big, but be sure to enable the other attributes that might apply while you're in there.
